Virtual eBooks

I have this sneaking suspicion that Virtual eBooks are taking over the world, not in the “everybody to the bomb shelters” type of way, but they are certainly opening up the world to everybody who ever fancied themselves as a bit of a writer. If you do a quick search in Google or similar for virtual ebooks, you’ll very quickly see that the best selling virtual ebooks are all about how to make money by writing virtual ebooks . . . is it just me or is everything going a little bit crazy!

Of course, you don’t have to write an eBook about how to write an eBook, there are eBooks written about every single topic under the sun – millions of them by anyone who has a laptop and a few hours spare, yes, that’s all it takes you see to see your name in, well, virtual print . . .

Virtual eBooks are quickly taking over from the printed real world, and there are a few very good reasons why:

• It’s much quicker and easier than trying to write a “real” book. “Real” books can sometimes take years to write, but an eBook can be completed in just a few days if you set your mind to it. Virtual eBooks are written in a more conversational style (if you see what I mean, ha ha ), a bit like web-page articles! There’s no need to write a boring and time consuming index, bibliography, all of those other things which are included in “proper” books but nobody ever reads.
• It’s quicker to write the book, and it’s certainly much quicker and cheaper to get it “out there” in the public marketplace. There are no printing costs for starters, you don’t need to find a publisher or an agent, you don’t need a distributor, or an artist, or a marketing director – you can do it all yourself, online, as soon as the virtual eBook is finished. It’s so easy, and if you don’t believe me, you can buy lots of virtual eBooks which tell you exactly how easy it is . . .
• Once your eBook is completed, you can easily take sections from it for your own marketing purposes, it’s all yours after all, you can do whatever you like with it. You can use some of the content to make a sales-page copy for your website which is dedicated to advertising and selling your virtual eBook.
• When your eBook is out there in the virtual world marketplace, you can make money from it over and over again without having to lift a finger. There are no distribution / postage costs, you don’t have to do anything at all, it can make you money 24 hours a day automatically.

There really is no wonder that virtual eBooks are taking over the world – have you started yours yet?
